38 Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” 39 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
I am writing this from my hotel room in Florida. Since Lorie and I have been here, I have met people from Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey and a great couple from Italy who now live in Niagara Falls, Canada. Last night, we bought some t-shirts at a gift shop. The manager was from Brazil and his worker was from Israel. The folks from Rhode Island were a pediatric cardiologist and his 5’10’ daughter who plays high school basketball. The couple from Italy were Bruno and Cindy. They were very outgoing and funny. I mentioned being a minister and he told me with his Italian accent, “You are not going to convert me.” I said, “Have I been preaching at you? No? Then stop whining!” I then told him, “God loves you. Even You!,” and he laughed.
Am I leading all these people to faith in Christ? No. I am just doing my best to engage the world around me. I understand that everyone is not an extravert. That is okay. I would encourage you to stretch yourself a little and see what happens. I am not trying to change everyone, but hopefully I can shine some light and share some love. Maybe I can plant a seed of thought.
